Carriage ridings

Two days of horseback riding to discover the historical system of bridle paths that for centuries has been used to connect the Grand Duchy of Tuscany to Rome. The event, sponsored by TrasiTrek, fits into the landscape of initiatives planned during the inaugural week of Trasimeno Slow Living

A path in between glimpses of rare beauty and a papal customs of the sixteenth century, which over the centuries has hosted Michelangelo, Goethe, Lord Byron and Stendhal. The hidden jewels of which Italy is surrounded find themselves especially well: by leaving the car and the main roads to take routes now forgotten but full of history. That is why in the calendar of events planned during the week of Trasimeno Slow Living have included trekking on horseback, in collaboration with the Association TrasiTrek.

"The system of bridleways and in particular the Trasimeno in Umbria - says Fabrizio Forsoni, president TrasiTrek - is well connected and some bridleways are also passable by carriage. The maintenance of the opening of roads, those interpoderali, is a guarantee for the memory of the country, a heritage is essential that in addition to ensuring the viability in case of need or emergency, is a piece of history that should not be underestimated. "

At Trasimeno Slow Living, on 14 and 15 June TrasiTrek will organize a two-day trek to rediscover those places "at the pace of the herd," the trend more useful to fully enjoy the scenery around the lake. Amazon and riders will climb the hills around Tuoro, the focal point of the trek, which give a glance majestic and will walk the horse trail that leads to the Customs, petting zoo and agribiologica, which covers 50 acres surrounding the historic sixteenth-century building the Papal Customs, once a must stop for anyone, ordinary people and celebrities, the Grand Duchy of Tuscany wanted to reach Rome.

"The horse riding Trasitrek which organizes excursions are not only an opportunity but have to stop with the daily rhythm, searching for the enhancement of the time: you want to mark the time in a conscious way, in a friendly atmosphere to share with these generous animals. Obviously lunchtime stop will not be fleeting but on dinner tables and comfortable chairs you will taste typical products of the short chain ".
